Dr. Hossein (Alex) Akhondi has been a physician for the past 16 years. Currently, he serves in several roles in the field of medicine. He is a hospitalist in DC, performs clinical research for novel diagnostic and therapeutic concepts and also is an assistant professor of clinical medicine at Georgetown University. Known as an expert in his field, Dr. Akhondi has made significant contributions as a clinical researcher over the past two decades.
Prior to establishing his career in America, Dr. Akhondi earned an MD in Iran. He was involved with orthopedics and neurosurgical interventions and clinical research before doing a medicine residency in US. He has continued to utilize novel diagnostic and therapeutic approaches through his research. A fellow of the American College of Physicians and member of American Medical Association, he looks to the future for further contributions in improving human kind health and well-being.
