ScienceSoft Recognized by Ernst&Young as Fastest-Growing Company

    MINSK, BELARUS, November 30, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- ScienceSoft represented by its CEO Nikolay Kurayev secures the Fastest-growing company award of Belarus Entrepreneur of the Year 2014 Award by Ernst&Young. The official ceremony took place on 19 November 2014 in Minsk, Belarus, and was one of the highlights of the Global Entrepreneurship Week.

Once shortlisted for the award ScienceSoft found itself among other prominent players of the local market. All the competitors had gone through a tough selection process which included individual interviews and questionnaires, and reduced the original number of 120 applicants to 11 finalists coming from an array of domains including retail, manufacturing and IT. The considerable proportion of IT companies (36%) is partly due to the international operations and partly to the creativity fostered by domestic competition.

The challenge was to justly distribute the entrepreneurial "Oscars", as put by Mr. Sergei Novitsky, CEO of Henkel Bautechnik JV LLC and one of the jury panel members. Although the turnover of some of the competing companies may be well into hundreds of millions of dollars, the evaluation was based on the personalities and values of the companies' leaders, the level of social and corporate responsibility, growth and innovation acceleration were assessed. ScienceSoft's standing was strong owing to 23% CAGR in 2010-2013 from a customer base in over 25 countries; growing business in the banking industry on the local market; and its talented and growing workforce set to surpass 500 employees in 2015.

Mr. Kurayev commented on the award as an important milestone in the development of business activities in the region, "If we want to compete at the international level and be part of global innovation, we shall guide our activities by the same standards and contests like this help to introduce such standards in the country". ScienceSoft's CEO attributes the company's success to the constant growth both not only in the number of people but first and foremost in their skillset and competences.
