ITASCA, IL, December 02, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Trinity Warranty announces availability of a new extended warranty product designed for commercial Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting installations. Developed in collaboration with Green Energy Services and their distribution partner Illumination Logistics Services of Tampa, Florida, Trinity's new warranty offering helps reduce the risk associated with large scale LED lighting retrofits and new installations.
Lower prices, coupled with the proven energy efficiency of LED lighting systems, have attracted numerous new OEMs and commercial contractors to this industry segment. However, the rapid growth has exposed many end users to unacceptable financial and operational risks. Many of the new commercial LED system manufacturers and installation service providers lack the experience or underwriting expertise to offer a robust warranty for these solutions. Commercial facility managers expect warranties on installed systems to be in force for up to ten years, and a minimum of five. This is longer than some suppliers have been in business.
Illumination Logistics Services was selected as one of Green Energy Services primary distribution partners for LED lighting solutions because of their experience and expertise in the LED lighting industry. According to Don Hinst, CEO of Illumination Logistics Services (ILS), the company could not find a suitable warranty to offer its commercial LED lighting clients. "We discovered that if we wanted a robust warranty we would have to build one ourselves." That is when ILS turned to Trinity Warranty. "Trinity has an established reputation for innovation and new product development," adds Hinst. "We were aware of custom warranty products Trinity had developed for other equipment categories and just knew we should be working with them."
As Green Energy Services and Trinity Warranty Solutions began working together, it became quickly apparent that labor would be a key ESA provision for this category. "It is easier for manufacturers to guarantee their components than to price the labor cost for repair or re-installation," said Peter Dikeos, CEO of Trinity Warranty. "We take a holistic view of the system to be covered and can tailor an ESA to address all of the financial risks involved."
Trinity's LED lighting system warranty covers parts and/or labor for all components of the system for ten years using a flat rate reimbursement scale. While resembling a traditional extended services agreement (ESA) product, Trinity's offering is unique in that it begins at time of installation and provides coverage of components as well as the sometimes unpredictable expense of installation or repair labor.
"Trinity's job is to reduce the risk for our business partners' clients," says Dikeos.
