His duties in his current role of two years are providing clinical services and conducting research, which is how he became involved in his current profession. He was conducting extensive research in ophthalmology and became fascinated with the eye and its health, and he decided to pursue the medical field. In 2003, he earned a Ph.D. in physiology and ophthalmology from the very institution where he now teaches, The University of Sydney.
In the future, Dr. White plans to expand his new research laboratory. He attributes all his success to his colleagues and determination. Recently inducted into Worldwide Branding, he also maintains affiliations with ARVO and World Glaucoma Association, and plays a major role in patient education through Glaucoma Australia.
