Author Proposes Solution To Stop School Shootings

After Finishing Her BA In Psychology, She's Diagnosed with Mental Illness

ST. PETERSBURG, FL, December 04, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Florida State University (FSU) alumnus and attorney Myron May had a bright future, ended tragically in a gun fight with police. An award winning author, Swiyyah Muhammad, believes she has 10 ways to stop it.

According to the Miami Herald, something changed in his mind, very dramatically. "A month later, on Oct. 6, May suddenly resigned as an assistant district attorney in New Mexico. The next night, his ex-girlfriend called Las Cruces police to her house, explaining that May was showing symptoms of a "severe mental disorder" for which he had been hospitalized several weeks prior."

Muhammad, whose book, "Don't Call Me Crazy, I'm Just In Love," is required reading at several high schools and colleges, believes there are signs that can prevent this from happening. "Because of the stigma on mental illness people are afraid to get proper treatment," Muhammad said.

She knows the situation well herself. After she received a B.A. in Psychology, she was diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia. "I have ten ways to stop school shootings," she said. For more information see: http://www.swiyyah.com/
