With his practice increasingly directed towards high-asset estate and trust litigation, Mr. Trushin has over 25 years of experience handling complex litigation before state and federal courts and arbitration tribunals. As head of his Firm's Litigation Department, Mr. Trushin's practice focuses on probate litigation (will contests including claims of undue influence, lack of testamentary capacity, civil theft and fraud in lifetime transfer claims, and contested guardianships), as well as complex business and commercial litigation and insurance litigation. He received a JD from the University of Florida in 1989 and is admitted to the Florida Bar, and the Bars of the United States Courts of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and Third Circuit, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Middle District of Florida and District of Puerto Rico. He also serves as an expert on insurance litigation, legal malpractice, and attorney's fees and legal ethics in state and federal court cases, as well as before the American Arbitration Association. He has lectured and authored articles on various legal topics, and recently authored a treatise chapter on legal strategies for trusts and estates to be published in 2015.
Recently inducted into Worldwide Registry, Mr. Trushin has served two terms as Chairman of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee 11N, and was also recently named to the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Professionalism Committee charged by the Supreme Court of Florida with enhancing professionalism among members of the Bar.
