TYSONS CORNER, VA, December 17, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bill Sullivan, vice president and general manager at Informatica's public sector business in North America, told ExecutiveBiz that government provides "tremendous opportunity" for cloud technology because of the large volume of information it generates, maintains and analyzes.
Sullivan said using the cloud to store data offers savings and efficiency gains for the agency, but added that knowing what product to buy to match their needs, and how to procure and deploy it should be part of the whole migration lifecycle.
"In the federal market we partner with many of the large cloud providers to help customers 'get to the cloud,' manage hybrid implementations on premise and in the cloud, all while integrating and securing their data regardless of location," Sullivan said in the EBiz interview published Friday.
"This approach affords us a vantage point to better support our customers as they work to manage costs around storage and archiving by using the cloud."
