LOS ANGELES, CA, December 17, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Hollywood Casting and Film (HCandF), the leading professional casting studio that provides aspiring and independent filmmakers with the critical tools needed to discover and audition top talent, today announced its partnership with the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP). Recognizing the need to support the growing community of Latino filmmakers behind the camera, HCandF is committed to assisting NALIP content creators.
The partnership will allow NALIP filmmakers to take advantage of HCandF services including, state-of-the-art spacious studios, professional lighting, and a diverse database of actors. As part of the partnership, HCandF invites NALIP members to hold complimentary casting sessions in its studio and in return asks that filmmakers meet with four HCandF actors during a session. NALIP filmmakers are able to send, store, and access audition videos from casting sessions without providing individual actors with feedback. As an added benefit, NALIP actors are given a three-month trial of HCandF's services.
In addition to the ongoing partnership, HCandF and NALIP will co-host professional development events throughout the year that will feature workshops and roundtables by industry leaders. The first filmmaker's workshop will include presentations from Chuck Vinson, former director of Last Comic Standing, and independent film producer, Phil Leirness. The workshop will cover topics ranging from technical filmmaking and filmmaker funding to screenwriting and concept creation.
"It is the mission of Hollywood Casting and Film to support filmmakers of all backgrounds and skill levels," says Vinay Bhagat, co-founder of Hollywood Casting and Film. About National Association of Latino Independent Producers:
The National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) is a national membership organization that addresses the professional needs of Latino content creators. We stand as the premiere Latino media organization, addressing for fifteen years the most underrepresented and the largest ethnic minority in the country. NALIP was rounded in 1999 by a group of Latino producers, content creators, academics and media advocates. During the first NALIP conference in San Francisco in June 1999, the conference participants organized NALIP, and the mission and organizational guiding principles were adopted.
