Miriam Levy, MD, Recognized for Excellence in Medical Imaging

    NEW YORK, NY, December 18, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Miriam Levy has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in radiology.

Throughout her professional career, Dr. Levy has established herself as an expert in women's imaging. On a daily basis, she demonstrates her expertise as the medical director of Medical Imaging of Manhattan, providing services which include breast ultrasound, OB-GYN ultrasound, full-field digital mammography, breast biopsies and MRIs, numerous other ultrasound procedures, and DEXA scanning.

Dr. Levy attributes her success to her lifelong desire to work hard on behalf of her patients. She is committed to providing the highest quality health care to patients, as well as building trust and operating with full integrity. Dr. Levy became involved in medicine because she felt it would allow her to interact with people and help them lead healthier lives. She was fascinated by science and decided that medicine was a good way to blend her interests and passions. Finding it to be intellectually challenging, Dr. Levy chose to pursue the path of radiology.

Dr. Levy received an MD from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, and completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at the George Washington University Medical Center. She was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry and also maintains affiliation with the American Association of Women Radiology, the American Medical Association and the Society of Breast Imaging. Dr. Levy is also associated with the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America and the American Medical Women's Association. Dr. Levy has been an accreditor for the National Accreditation Program for breast MRI, sponsored by the American College of Radiology. This position allowed her to utilize her extensive experience in MRI scanning to both ensure and enhance the quality of care for facilities other than her own. In the coming years, she intends to continue growing the practice and providing high-level quality care to her patients. Furthermore, Dr. Levy would like to become more involved with teaching in the near future.
