Well equipped to thrive in her field, she has 16 years of experience caring for those living with HIV and holds a Master of Science in Nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Additionally, she is an American Nurses Credentialing Center certified adult nurse practitioner and an American Academy of HIV Medicine certified HIV Specialist.

Ms. Gabree is known for her expertise in HIV specialty based primary care and regarded as especially skilled working with patients that also suffer from mental health and/ or substance abuse issues. Daily, she is tasked with providing HIV specialty care, serving as a primary care provider for a large caseload of HIV+ patients at Whitney M. Young (WMY) Community Health Center in Albany, NY.

She is a pioneer in providing HIV educational lectures across the country. She speaks extensively for Janssen Therapeutics, Gilead Sciences and ViiV Healthcare to provide education to allied health care professionals, community-based organizations, and outreach programs on various HIV related topics including; early detection, testing, HIV disease management, treatment options, and care of comorbid conditions. Although, she finds providing educational programs directly to those living with HIV disease so they can best participate in their own care and advocate for themselves the most rewarding.

Furthermore, she has held a position of leadership in the Capital District Chapter of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (ANAC) for the last decade; working with fellow nurses in an effort to improve HIV-related education opportunities for local healthcare workers. The Capital District Chapter of ANAC is one of the most successful chapter in the country with attendance of 80-100+ nurses and affiliated health care professionals at their quarterly educational dinner lectures.

Ms. Gabree also serves as the Clinical Director of the Opioid Overdose Prevention (OOP) Program for Albany Catholic Charities Care Coordination Services- Project Safe Point. Project Safe Point is a harm reduction program serving the 14 counties surrounding Albany providing syringe exchange, referral and linkage to substance abuse care and provides OOP training. The program educates participants on risks of use, how to recognize and respond to an overdose and provides take home Naloxone kits; a service which has been shown to greatly reduce overdose fatality rates. In the last year alone, the program has trained more than 2000 participants and has had several reports of fatal overdoses averted.

In the years to come, she aims to grow her HIV practice, expand her subspecialty of hepatitis C treatment, including providing these services at WMY's outpatient substance abuse and Methadone treatment clinics, as well as starting a HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) clinic, and improved access to culturally and medically competent LGBT care at WMY.
