Menachem J. Kastner Recognized for Excellence in the Law

    NEW YORK, NY, December 31, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Menachem J. Kastner, a Member at Cozen O'Connor, has been recognized by Worldwide Registry for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in his profession.

Mr. Kastner has nearly four decades of legal experience, concentrating on real estate litigation. His duties in his current role are servicing clients in all aspects of real estate litigation, particularly centered in the area of commercial and residential leasing and ownership, property development and assemblage positioning, rights under renewal options, first refusal and first offer options, disputes concerning recovery of down payments in breach of contract disputes, enforcement and interpretation of escalation provisions in leases, rights of landlords, tenants, developers and lenders under various rent regulatory laws, and valuation disputes in connection with, inter alia, rent reset provisions. In addition, Mr. Kastner is called upon the review, revise and comment upon leases and purchase and sale agreements as to any possible litigation pitfalls so as to avoid any future disputes and litigations.

In the future, Mr. Kastner intends to experience the continued growth and success of his practice and the continuing growth and expansion of the real estate market. He has been successful because of his hard work and his deep love of and dedication to what he does. He has always had an interest in the law. From an early age, he would sneak off to the courthouse to watch trials and oral argument of motions, and, from that point on, it was evident that he would one day be a lawyer, successful in his chosen field.

Mr. Kastner made that happen by earning a JD from New York Law School, graduating first in his class, summa cum laude (1976). He also holds a Bachelor of Arts from Brooklyn College, graduating cum laude (1973). He has done such outstanding work that he has won numerous awards, including being named a Top Rated Lawyer in the New York area (2013), a Super Lawyer in real estate, law and politics (2006, 2010, 2013), and a Top AV rated Attorney in New York by Martindale-Hubbell. He is a frequent contributor to the New York Law Journal and other legal periodicals, writing on various major real estate topics, and has lectured on real estate issues at the Practicing Law Institute.

In recognition of all his achievements, Mr. Kastner was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry. He also maintains affiliations with the New York State Bar Association and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. His hobbies, aside from law, are wine and scotch tasting.
