The highlight of her career was the development of the Family Life Center, a family resource center still in operation after 22 years, where she learned to be a good listener.
OAK CREEK, WI, January 06, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Anita Hallman Kowalski, Creator of Angie's Tidbits, has been named a Worldwide Branding Entrepreneur of the Year in Custom Crochet & Craft Design. While inclusion in Worldwide Branding is an honor, only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Branding membership.
Ms. Kowalski has 36 years of professional experience, with two years as the creator of Angie's Tidbits. Her crochet creations include, prayer shawls, infant blankets, crutch toppers, fingerless gloves, hats, scarves, purses, tote bags, decorative baskets, pillows, table runners and placemats, and animal pattern hot pads. On a daily basis, she creates handmade works of art, while passing her crocheting and writing skills to others. In addition to her talent for crafting, Ms. Kowalski has developed three different family books on ancestry, so that she can help anyone who needs suggestions in the field of genealogy.
She attributes her success to her heritage, determination and education. She became involved in her recent profession when her granddaughter encouraged her to start her own company crocheting crutch toppers for her crutches. She shows and sells crocheted items at a local hairdresser's salon and various art and craft shows in the area. As for working with churches, her life experiences led her there. The highlight of her career was the development of the Family Life Center, a family resource center still in operation after 22 years, where she learned to be a good listener.
Ms Kowalski received a masters degree in administrative leadership with an emphasis in adult education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee as well as a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Religious Studies from Alverno College. In addition to her educational qualifications, she has earned a certificate in advertising art. She is an alumna of Alverno and UWM, and she is a former member of the Wisconsin Writers Association. One of her proudest achievements was receiving an Adult Education Award for the development of The Family Life Center, a family resource center in Milwaukee. In years to come, Ms Kowalski will still be crocheting, traveling, volunteering, and doing ancestry research.
