LAS VEGAS, NV, January 07, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Send Me On Vacation (SMOV), a charity providing vacations for breast cancer survivors, will hold a first-of-its-kind women's empowerment workshop, Feb. 2 - 6, 2014, at the Grand Mayan Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
The resort, nestled amidst the lush tropical forests of the Riviera Maya, will be the site of SMOV's inaugural Mermaid's Journey Workshop. During the four-day workshop, two of SMOV's Mexico survivors will be award vacations. Registration includes four nights of five-star accommodations, the four-day workshop, lunches, three-hour photo shoot with professional photographers and hair and make-up artist, and cocktail reception on the last night.
Mermaid's Journey reflects SMOV's decision to expand its programming for the coming year to focus not only on cancer survival, but also on women's empowerment.
"We believe the empowerment of women supports the cause of strengthening the body, mind and spirit," says Cathy Backus, president, SMOV. "Survivorship is about taking charge of your health and wellness, and building your competency for long-term self-management and self-care. Only then will you be empowered to live a strong, healthy and vibrant life."
This experiential workshop by the sea invites participants to unlock the power of their intuition and the wisdom that lies beneath the surface of the conscious mind. The goal is to discover the power to make life choices leading to greater peace, happiness and fulfillment. Guided by a cutting-edge process called "Interactive Guided Imagery," participants will learn to become more attuned to the messages of their subconscious mind to:

• Establish an inner sanctuary of peace and harmony
• Gain the clarity needed for healing and empowerment
• Transform stressful emotions into trusted allies

• Intuitively "read" themselves and others

• And more
The workshop will be led by Rebecca Shaw, CCH, owner and director, Charleston Hypnosis Center. During the past 20 years, Rebecca has worked her magic on thousands of people, successfully helping them to lose weight, quit smoking, overcome insomnia, eliminate stress, and increase self-confidence and more. Her clients include Hollywood celebrities, professional athletes and top business executives.
"The MERMAID is an archetypal image that embodies the Divine Feminine within," Ms. Backus explains. "A Mermaid is a woman who is at ease diving below the surface of her intellect to explore the depths of her inner world for the purpose of self-healing and personal empowerment."
For participants who book by Jan. 12, 2015, the four-day-four-night workshop is $699 for a private room or $499 for multiple occupancy. After this date, the cost is $799 for a private room or $599 for multiple occupancy. Additional charges include taxes and a resort fee of $75 per room, which covers Internet access, fitness center, turndown and daily maid services, local telephone calls, intra-resort transportation, welcome cocktail, and transport from Cancun International Airport.
