For the past 34 years, Ms. Nordaune has been concentrating exclusively in family law and advising and representing her clients on matters relating to marriage dissolutions, paternity proceedings, and child custody. As a partner at Nordaune & Friesen, a law firm that provides top quality, cutting-edge legal services in the areas of family law, appellate work, and estate planning, as well as litigation, Ms. Nordaune serves as a strong legal advocate for her clients in post-decree matters, parenting time disputes, and more. She specializes in child and spousal support issues, same-sex partnership and property agreements and dissolutions, antenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and family-law-related appeals.
Ms. Nordaune became involved in her professional area of practice through her previous work in corporate and tax law. Her clients were in need of assistance in her current area, so she pursued family law. She earned a Bachelor's Degree with two majors in Political Science and History from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and went on to receive her JD from the University of Minnesota Law School in Minneapolis, graduating Cum Laude. Ms. Nordaune was admitted to the Bar in the State of Minnesota, and the U.S. District Court District of Minnesota, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and the U.S. Tax Court, as well. She was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry and also maintains affiliation with the Minnesota State Bar Association.
Ms. Nordaune is a member of the Hennepin County State Bar Association, and the Family Law Section of MSBA. She was honored with a Distinguished Alumni of Augsburg College Award in 2013, and also as a Minnesota Super Lawyer each year since 2003. She was listed amongst the Top 100 Women Minnesota Super Lawyers in 2005, and rated as a Martindale & Hubble Preeminent AVR Preeminent Woman Lawyer in the Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers. She is also listed amongst Minnesota's Top Attorneys. Ms. Nordaune has been on the Board of Directors of Augsburg Women Engaged, an organization at Augsburg College, since 2010, and she is also a former member of the Board of Regents of Augsbury and the Board of Directors for Rainbow Families.
