MILTON, MA, January 18, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Lower School at the Delphi Academy consists of the Beginner 1 through Form 2 programs, which is equivalent to kindergarten through third grade. The school provides a strong emphasis on academic basics, even with the youngest students. The Lower School also offers an introduction to more advanced subjects such as geography, science and poetry through an integrated approach.
The individualized nature of the Delphi Program allows for an easy transition for transfer students. Because the curriculum is based on competency, students progress at their own rate. A student advances through a subject when they can demonstrate they've mastered the material, ensuring there are no "holes" in their education.
One Lower School parent had this to say about the program: "My three-year-old arrived in October and two weeks later knew 'all the big kids,' has begun to read and is developing a love of numbers and questioning. Both of my girls understand that mere competency is not enough. Mastery of all they want to achieve is the ultimate goal. Delphi has given them the skills they need to understand, analyze, question and change the world around them."
