Ms. Spain has 36 years of industry experience with extensive knowledge in education and business development. Her duties in her current role of eight years are managing the daily operations of the organizations, marketing, and strategic planning.

Ms. Spain plans continued professional growth to surpass the success she has already had. She attributes her success to her interpersonal skills, creativity and her innovative approach. Her career started after earning a Bachelor of Arts in English from La Trobe University (1978) and a Diploma in Education (1979) and working as a teacher for many years across a number of educational sectors. A change in government direction led to Ms. Spain changing her role from an educator to an education consultant. She found she had a natural aptitude to encourage others to embrace the ideology of creating and developing programs that were flexible to meet people's needs to work and study in an industry partnership concept. She developed links with industry to assist them in meeting their workforce development needs.

In 2006, Ms. Spain opened her own registered training organisation where she continues to foster and implement flexible and affordable programs. Recently inducted into Worldwide Branding, Ms. Spain also maintains affiliations with the Australian Council for Private Education and Training and the Community Services and Health Industry Skills Council. Charitably, she supports various cancer foundations, a local children's hospital and many other community services charitable organisations. Her hobbies include walking, playing tennis and reading.
