"Concurrency University gives young professionals experiences they can't obtain elsewhere, especially in such a compressed timeframe"
MILWAUKEE, WI, January 24, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Concurrency's innovative program for young professionals, Concurrency University, has graduated its first class and is gaining recognition in the industry. Kate Weiland, Director of Human Capital Management, and Heather LaPorte, Resource Manager and "Concurrency U" Coordinator, will share details of the program's design and successful first year at the upcoming international conference Microsoft Convergence 2015.
The Microsoft Convergence conference, which gathers leaders to explore business solutions, will convene in Atlanta from March 16-19.
Concurrency University gained regional recognition this month in Minneapolis, where Kate Weiland presented outcomes from the program in a meeting at Microsoft's offices with Microsoft staff and partners.
Concurrency University is structured to give entry-level employees valuable hands-on experience and specific skill development as they work toward becoming top-flight Concurrency IT consultants.
Program members shadow employees in Concurrency's Sales, Program Management, and Delivery departments to learn functions and procedures across the firm. Members also work closely with Solutions Leads on internal initiatives and external client projects. To help program participants achieve their goals, the Concurrency University program features a set of checkpoints meant to ensure the curriculum's success in establishing the skills necessary to be successful.
"Concurrency University gives young professionals experiences they can't obtain elsewhere, especially in such a compressed timeframe," said Kate Weiland. "The program is designed to center on helping participants become truly 'people-ready' as well as technically literate."
