Artmart to Support 12th Annual Wall Ball Fundraiser With Canvases, Paint for Participating Artists

    ST. LOUIS, MO, February 04, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Artmart, the local art supply store, will be providing canvases and paint for the artists who are participating in the 12th Annual Wall Ball fundraiser.

The fundraiser is slated for Sat., February 21 at the Third Degree Glass Factory at 5200 Delmar Blvd. and will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets for general admission are $35, and VIP tickets, which include an open beer and wine bar and early admission at 6:30 p.m., are $60. General admission ticket holders may upgrade to VIP at the door.

Artmart has been supplying canvases to these artists to create unique masterpieces since the fundraiser's genesis in 1993. This year, they will be giving paint to each artist in addition to the canvases.

"The artists who showcase their work-in-process masterpieces are incredibly talented, and supporting Artscope, who is so dedicated to helping the children of the city to experience art, is absolutely a worthy cause."

An annual art sensation, Wall Ball is an annual, extravagant party filled with an eclectic mix of artists, collectors, patrons, and admirers. Attendees can watch the live creative process of more than 30 top artists from St. Louis as they use a variety of media and styles. Patrons are also able to bid on these works of art while they are in process. The bidding takes place in a silent auction format as attendees enjoy the party.

For the first time at Wall Ball, patrons will be able to "Buy It Now!" Those who love a piece or are an avid collector of an artist's work can buy the piece before it is finished. The artist will determine the price, and the artwork will be on display with the bid sheets during the event.

Wall Ball is also the largest fundraiser for Artscope, a local organization that is dedicated to supporting the creative programs for St. Louis area children. Formerly known as Saint Louis City Open Studio and Gallery Artscope (SCOSaG), Artscope offers educational programs in Tower Grove Park and at offsite community events and organizations throughout St. Louis. These programs allow children to explore their creative ideas at their own pace.
