Dr. Jenny C. McCloskey Recognized by Worldwide Branding for Excellence in Sexual Health Care

    PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA, February 04, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Jenny C. McCloskey, Sexual Health Physician at Royal Perth Hospital, has been recognized by Worldwide Branding for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in sexual health care.

Over the past three decades, Dr. McCloskey has become well known for her work in sexual health. She currently practices as a Sexual Health Physician at Royal Perth Hospital (RPH), where she specializes in research and treatment of the human papillomavirus (HPV) in the genital tract. Dr. McCloskey also has travelled throughout Western Australia, lecturing and teaching health professionals, community groups and Aboriginal communities. She believes that her success is a direct result of her hard work. She is the author of the book Your Sexual Heath.

Dr. McCloskey earned an MBBS (MD) in 1976 from the University of Melbourne, where she shared the Australian Medical Association's Prize in Public Health. She went on to earn a Master of Public Health; and a Ph.D. titled "Human Papillomavirus Infection of the Anal Canal and its Relation to Anal Disease" from The University of Western Australia. She was awarded honorary fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians in London in recognition of her building the RPH sexual health service and her pioneering work in developing a high resolution anoscopy service, as well as a laser treatment service and forging collaborative links with general and colorectal surgery.

Dr. McCloskey is a Fellow of the Chapter of Sexual Health Physicians within the Royal Australian College of Physicians. Her further professional associations include the Australasian Society for HIV Medicine. In recognition of her accomplishments, she was named Professional of the Year in Sexual Health Care in 2014 by Worldwide Branding.
