Paul Carsten Pedersen Recognized by Worldwide Branding for Excellence in Business Management

With 35 years of professional experience under his belt, Mr. Pedersen shines as a luminary in his field. He currently makes the most of more than 30 years of management experience from the offshore drilling and floating production storage offloading industry in his capacity as CEO of the two Singapore based offshore companies Jasper Investments Limited, a holding company engaged in offshore oil and gas contract drilling and the FPSO contractor Rubicon International Pte ltd. He has a passion for the offshore industry leading to providing safe, efficient and reliable services to the oil and gas industry. With experience from executive management in private and public companies, and specializing in business development, operations and corporate restructuring, Mr. Pedersen has used not only this background but also employed his expertise in acquisitions, offshore technology, and non-executive directorships during his tenure as the CEO of Rubicon Offshore International and Jasper Investments Limited since January 2013 and in the role of executive board director since 2013. He maintains daily oversight of the operations and development of the companies. Both jobs incorporate his restructuring and commercial skills, which he has sharpened and refined over the many years as contractor in the offshore industry. Negotiation and subsequent execution of large offshore contracts in most parts of the world has given Mr. Pedersen a powerful global outlook, large network and cultural understanding which he uses to the benefit of his business stakeholders.

Mr. Pedersen spent 29 years with the A.P.Moeller- Maersk Group, where he held various positions including group senior vice president in APMM, chief commercial officer and deputy CEO in Maersk Contractors and last as CEO for Maersk FPSO and Maersk LNG. After leaving Maersk in 2010, Mr. Pedersen joined Ocean Rig UDW Inc as acting CEO during its transformation into a global deep water drilling contractor listed on the NASDAQ. His last appointment before he joined the present companies was head of commercial in the offshore business unit of Fincantieri Group SpA.

Resolution of any task in the offshore industry requires a team of competent and talented people to succeed. Mr. Pedersen attributes his success to the relationship with the people he has worked with, as well as his ability to flawlessly combine the technical and commercial aspects of the "job." A strong educational background prompted Mr. Pedersen to become involved in his profession; after receiving his Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark, offshore drilling would offer an amazing international opportunity. Later, Mr. Pedersen would go on to earn Diplomas in Business Administration from Columbia University and Advanced Management from the Wharton Business School. Listing the most gratifying achievement of his career would include development of the "game changing" drillers cabin concept, to build up Maersk FPSO from scratch, to lay out the growth strategy for Maersk Drilling, to divest a number of large international companies, to manage Ocean Rig UDW into a NASDAC listed drilling company and lately that Rubicon International has evolved into an important solution provider with 4 FPSOs operating in the Philippines, Thailand, Nigeria and Mexico. Considering the many people to whom his management and coaching has been helpful in their creation of great lives and careers may after all be the biggest achievement.

Mr. Pedersen remains abreast of trends and developments in his field as a member of IADC and the Society of Petroleum Engineers. He looks forward to spending more time in the outdoors, hunting and skiing with his family and sharing his experience by taking on non-executive directorships within offshore and forestry businesses in the years to come.
