Joseph R. Amato, P.E. Honored for Expertise in Engineering

    WOODBURY, NY, February 10, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Joseph R. Amato, P.E., LEED AP, Senior Partner of Cameron Engineering & Associates, LLP, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in mechanical and electrical engineering design.

As the senior partner of Cameron Engineering & Associates, LLP, Mr. Amato coordinates all activities on behalf of the firm, and he functions as the partner-in-charge for the its major mechanical, electrical and civil engineering design projects. He is also responsible for managing the daily operations of Cameron Engineering, as well as its affiliate, Bodak-Cameron Engineering as its chief operating officer. As Bodack-Cameron Engineering is located in Midtown Manhattan, site-to-site transportation is manageable.

In its 30th year of business, Cameron Engineering & Associates, LLP specializes in various aspects of consulting engineering and planning, including mechanical, electrical, structural, environmental, civil, transportation and security engineering, planning, landscape architecture and construction management. The firm serves government and businesses alike in the New York metropolitan area and beyond. Under Mr. Amato's management, the firm has grown into one of Long Island's premier engineering and planning firms, having received local, state and national awards for many of its projects.

Mr. Amato received a master's degree in environmental science from LIU Post and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Pratt Institute. He is a licensed professional engineer in the states of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Virginia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Maryland, Ohio, and Washington, DC. Additionally, he is a LEED Accredited Professional through the U.S. Green Building Council. He was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry and also maintains affiliation with the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York, where he is the chairman of the board of directors, AIA New York, the New York Building Congress, the National Society of Professional Engineers, the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and A/C Engineers, the National Fire Protection Association, the American Association of Airport Executives and the Construction Specifications Institute.
