National Association of Distinguished Professionals Selects A. Veronica "Ronnie" Precup as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    ALEXANDRIA, VA, February 14, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A. Veronica "Ronnie" Precup, Editor-in-Chief for Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP), has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through the National Association of Distinguished Professionals. A. Veronica "Ronnie" Precup will be featured on the back cover of the upcoming edition of the NADP Women of Distinction Magazine in 2015.

For the past eight years, A. Veronica "Ronnie" Precup accepted a position as editor-in-chief for the ACRP. She provides the vision and execution for all print and electronic publishing, including 'Clinical Researcher', the flagship journal of the organization.

Over the last 40 years, Ms. Precup has watched the printing process advance from hot metal linotype to computers and digital editions. She has built a career from the ground up editing for medical and pharmaceutical organizations. Her current position as editor-in-chief combines her love of the English language and science, while enabling her to work at the leading edge of the medical profession. In addition to leading development of content, she oversees business management, coordinates peer review, and directs the editing, production, and publication of the journal, as well as other products for ACRP. She continually improves the quality of the journal, its value as a membership benefit, and its contributions to the knowledge base of the clinical research community. Ms. Precup also integrates all publishing activities with ACRP's educational initiatives to help achieve the objectives of association members, serving to address their professional development needs and goals.

"Starting my career by proofreading small journals and advancing to overseeing the 'Clinical Researcher' has been quite the adventure, and I've enjoyed every moment of it," Ms. Precup said about her career as science editor for organizations like the American Institute of Biological Sciences where she produced 'BioScience', and the US Pharmacopeia.

Ms. Precup holds a BA in Secondary English Education from George Washington University. She has been a member of Council of Science Editors for several decades and also belongs to Association Media and Publishing and Washington Women's Information Network. A woman of strong faith, Ronnie is a Dame Grand Cross in the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, supporting Christian presence in the Holy Land and efforts that support lasting peace in the Middle East.
