NASHVILLE, TN, February 16, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In recent years, both Bluegrass and Americana music genres have grown considerably in terms of domestic audiences and revenues. Nielson Soundscan, BillBoard and other industry sources report that these fast-rising categories in the Country heading have now eclipsed classic rock in terms of sales.
Working to capitalize on this strong trend, Pure Music Nashville is the brain child of three partners: Luke Bulla, world renowned composer, vocalist, flat picking guitarist and (of primary note) fiddle player with Lyle Lovett and many other Bluegrass and Country A-Listers; his wife, the Berklee-trained actress, singer, composer and multi-talented fiddle/guitar player and mandolinist, Caitlin Nicol-Thomas; and business executive and marketing guru John Heithaus, a global producer of experiential events and, also, co-founder and partner directing creative, marketing and logistics areas for a well-regarded record label, SuperStar Records.
The trio, dedicated to the Bluegrass and Americana music genres, have already commenced creative planning for their first release, a solo record for Luke Bulla, whose first self-release, Fly, was featured (among other places) on the Music City Roots cable show on PBS nationally. The sessions are being produced by 2015 Grammy Nominee, Bryan Sutton and will feature many of the best-of-the best that Nashville (and beyond) has to offer.
John Heithaus, managing parter of Pure Music Nashville said: "On the road and at home, we're frequent customers of FedEx to send our CD's around the world and to shows, to utilize their printing services for posters and mailers and for last minute print jobs with set lists and more. So applying to their Small Business Grant program made a lot of sense since we admire the brand and find FedEx very useful to our business. And if we are lucky enough to win, the funds will support our efforts bring Bluegrass and Americana music to fans around the globe."
