The New "N" Word in the 2008 Political Debates Are you guilty of using or feeding into the "N" words in used by politicians?

Even people who have a party affiliation may be confused right now since there is so much in-fighting and name calling going on within the parties. These "undecided" folks will spend the days leading up to the election trying to figure out who is the best person for the job of President of the United States. Conscientious voters try to decide what the key issues are to them and then listen to the debates, read the news articles or talk to other folks in their inner circle to try to make up their minds. After all, the politicians said they would keep everything above the muck and mire of scandalous rumors and just debate the issues. Problem is right now the political rhetoric keeps changing as the "frontrunners" scurry around to get the attention of the media. This means that a smaller group of people are defining what is important based on the press coverage the issue can generate. As a result, the "key" issues change when a new sound bite is captured and the "N" word is capturing ALL the sound bites. Is that what the candidates mean by when they talk about the importance of "change"? Isn't it time you defined what change is to you and had an audience so other people can hear you?

So where does that leave the undecided voter? They don't have a clear idea of where these folks stand because the real issues are being masked by all the scuttlebutt being dredged up in the media. Now all the resources voters used to make decisions about the key issues are preoccupied with the sound bite of the day. All conversations cease to be around the real issues. Everyone goes on the defensive and the "N" word sneaks in-Negativity. How so voters get to talk about the issues in an open forum and openly discuss and get other's perspective?
