KANSAS CITY, MO, February 18, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Cris Medina, Executive Director of Guadalupe Centers, Inc., has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in community services.
Mr. Medina utilizes his expertise in teambuilding and recruitment to drive the success of Guadalupe Centers, Inc. Daily, he is tasked with overseeing the subsidiary board, Guadalupe Educational Systems Charter Schools, managing the parent organization which provides social services, youth enrichment and preventive health programs.
Mr. Medina also serves as the Vice President of the KC Terminal/Guadalupe Centers Credit Union, a low income minority CDFI designated credit union.
Mr. Medina first came to the organization as a client. He participated in youth clubs athletic teams and developed a passion for the organization because its programs helped him develop social and teambuilding relationships. Subsequently, he applied for a job and has held various positions with Guadalupe Centers, Inc.
Well equipped to thrive in his position, Mr. Medina has taken college courses in education and is the holder of an associate degree in business earned at Platt College. Recently he received an Honorary Degree in Philosophy from the University of Missouri Kansas City (UMKC). He is a member of the Greater Kansas City United Way Executive Association, and was inducted into the Worldwide Registry in 2014.
