Michael Feld Reflects on His Role with National Association of Underwater Instructors

    NORWALK, CT, February 19, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael Feld, Owner and CEO of Oceanblue Enterprises (d.b.a., Oceanblue Dive), has been a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Underwater Instructors ("NAUI") since 2014. Feld initially became involved with NAUI through his Instructor Training Course (ITC), and after completing his training, he earned his NAUI Instructor Trainer designation in 2012.

"My first-hand experience with the caliber of the instructors that have been trained through NAUI is what sparked my interest in the organization," said Feld. "Each NAUI instructor is personally dedicated to giving comprehensive and safe SCUBA diving training, which helps encourage students' on-going enthusiasm for the sport."

NAUI's commitment to the diving industry has been recognized throughout the world since 1959 as the oldest and most respected dive training association. The organization has a strategic partnership with the Walt Disney Company, is the official training agency for NASA's Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory, and numerous divers in the Hall of Fame are well-known NAUI members. None other than Jacques Yves Cousteau was on the original board of advisors of NAUI when it was formed in 1959.

"Since its inception, NAUI has been the leader in dive education," commented Feld. "As we head into 2015, we plan to continue building upon NAUI's core values and "Dive Safety Through Education" philosophy through instruction, creation of new cutting-edge learning and business tools, and forming strategic partnerships for the organization."

Through his retail SCUBA and dive shop business, Feld has access to state-of-the-art sales tools and technologies. After forming a business relationship with Visible Divers and experiencing the benefits of their Point-of-Sale (POS) system first-hand, Feld approached NAUI about establishing a strategic relationship. As a result of his efforts, Visible Divers, which helps SCUBA and dive centers connect divers and dive centers and gives SCUBA diving centers control over their businesses, became the NAUI-endorsed POS system.

Feld plans to continue his service to NAUI working with the NAUI Board of Directors and as Chairman of the NAUI Planning and Special Projects Committees to further the strategic vision for the organization by exploring new partnerships and enhancing NAUI's technological offerings to both divers and member dive centers.
