CHICAGO, IL, March 01, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Active Communications International Inc. (ACI), a Whitmore Group company, announces the recent hire of Norman Clausen as its North American vice president of sales based in the company's Chicago office. Clausen's hire comes as ACI ramps up growth and production in 2015 with expanded event offerings, additional market outreach and new sponsorship and attendee pricing designed to appeal to broader and more diverse clients.
"I'm looking forward to bringing a new approach and renewed focus to ACI," said Clausen, who comes to ACI most recently from Sales Focus Inc. "I feel that by hiring good people and providing a clear vision for our teams, we can achieve a greater level of success than ever before and put out the world-class caliber of events our clients have come to expect from ACI."
Clausen added that he looks forward to growing the sales and marketing teams at ACI and developing new leaders to establish themselves as key figures not only within the company, but among their peers in the industry. "You do not just build a business," said Clausen. "You build people and then people build the business. I look forward to re-establishing our company as one of the top conference planning companies in the U.S. and abroad."
As part of the revitalized push in ACI's sixteenth year of operation in North America, Clausen expects the company to grow its sales, marketing and production teams to accommodate new events. Since Clausen started in his new position, he has seen 10 new campaign managers and sponsorship executives start with ACI, and he expects to hire 35 new team members by June. Clausen added that he expects to expand operations further, with a plan to have 80 total new campaign managers and sales executives in place by the end of the year.
