Sound Physicians Receives 2015 Innovation in Health Care Delivery Award

    TACOMA, WA, March 02, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sound Physicians, an innovative physician services organization, was presented an award for Innovation in Health Care Delivery by Seattle Business magazine at the Leaders in Health Care 2015 awards gala in Seattle, WA. This award honors Sound Physicians for providing high-quality, cost-effective health care through innovative new business models and clinical processes.

This past year, Sound Physicians introduced Bedside Patient Feedback at many partner hospitals across the nation. This innovative program allows physicians to receive real-time feedback from their patients, rather than waiting eight weeks for HCAHPS survey feedback.

Sound's Bedside Patient Feedback program provides physicians with an opportunity to impact the patient experience and quality of care in real-time by working with a hospitalist RN and the hospitalist physician team at the bedside. Since the program's inception, over 17,000 surveys have been submitted. From those surveys, Sound Physicians' hospitalist teams have been able to make interventions for 31% of those surveyed, resulting in more than 5,000 episodes of improving the patient experience, which would have otherwise gone unaddressed in real-time.
