Berman Fink Van Horn Names Lea Dearing and Kiyoaki "Kiyo" Kojima as Principals

    ATLANTA, GA, March 05, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Berman Fink Van Horn P.C. is pleased to announce the promotion of Lea Dearing and Kiyoaki "Kiyo" Kojima to Principal.

Ms. Dearing joined Berman Fink Van Horn in 2014. As a business litigator with transactional experience, Ms. Dearing works with businesses on a wide range of matters, including labor and employment, privacy, general commercial litigation, products liability, construction disputes and e-Discovery management. Ms. Dearing has resolved multiple payment, construction and employment related disputes across the pharmaceutical, hospitality, transportation telecommunication, manufacturing, wholesale, healthcare, education, energy and banking industries.

A summa cum laude graduate of Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, Ms. Dearing also received her Bachelor of Arts in International Business from The University of Georgia. She is a recipient of the Super Lawyer Rising Star award and has also held several leadership positions within the Dallas Bar Association.

Mr. Kojima joined Berman Fink Van Horn in 2012. He works with Business and Corporate clients in a wide range of areas including corporate formation and governance, mergers and acquisitions, secured transactions, commercial real estate, leasing and licensing and distribution and franchise agreements. He also counsels clients on all matters related to labor and employment. In addition, Mr. Kojima has assisted many international companies relocate to and establish subsidiaries in the Southeastern United States.

An accomplished bassoonist and saxophonist, Mr. Kojima often performs at the Fox Theater and with the Atlanta Pops Orchestra, Atlanta Ballet, Georgia Symphony Orchestra and other ensembles. A dual graduate of Indiana University Maurer School of Law and Indiana University Jacob School of Music, Mr. Kojima is also a cum laude graduate of Eastman School of Music (B.M.) and University of Rochester (B.A.).
