Ivy Chin Honored for Excellence in Computer Science

CHARLOTTE, NC, March 12, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ivy Chin, Senior Vice President of eCommerce and Omni-channel Digital of Belk, Inc., has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in digital experience and technology.
Ms. Chin has over 20 years of professional experience, and joined Belk as a senior vice president of eCommerce in November 2009. A strong leader, she became involved in her profession because of her love of business, customer experience and technology.
Ms. Chin received a Bachelor of Science in computer science from Drexel University. She was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry and also maintains affiliation with Shop.org as a board member. Ms. Chin received the "Women In Business" Award from Charlotte Business Journal in 2013, "William Henry Belk" Award in 2012, and "Top Women In Cross-Channel Retail" from Retail Online Integration 2011, and "Premier 100 IT Leaders for 2010" from Computerworld in 2010. These are just the most recent of the many awards that she has earned throughout the years.
Ivy Chin is on the Board and its Executive Committee for Classroom Central, a local non-profit organization providing free school supplies to schools in the Charlotte area. She is also on the Board for Central Piedmont Community College Foundation.
