SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, March 15, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In February 2015, the City of Sydney released its energy saving plans for public exhibition. By implementing those plans, Sydney will become a more energy sufficient city. This will have a huge impact on bill prices and emissions. In fact, Fairfax Media report that the City of Sydney is hoping to save $600 million by 2030 at a marginal cost of $396 million. GEM Pty, a direct sales and marketing company that is very considerate about the environment, welcome the recently published energy saving plans. "We live in a fast-changing world and must adopt to the environmental changes," says Alexandra Scowcroft, MD of GEM Pty. She adds: "Nowadays, we have the technology to make energy sufficient changes. We recommend all businesses to go green. It does not only help our environment, but it saves businesses a lot of money."

Consultants of Pitt&Sherry prepared the Energy Efficiency Master Plan. News services found that the savings could drive half of the council's emission reductions with renewable energy, tri-generation and advanced waste treatment. GEM Pty say: "By making a few changes to become more energy efficient, businesses may have to invest in the beginning, but will save a lot of money in the long-run. We would therefore recommend all businesses to be greener," say GEM Pty.
The council's goal is to achieve an emission reduction of 70 per cent by 2030, below 2006 levels. By implementing Pitt&Sherry's Energy Efficiency Master Plan, annual emissions are set to reduce by one billion tonnes through existing programmes, while additional programmes, state and federal, could drive another one billion tonnes of abatement. Looking at the figures, GEM Pty urge businesses to change their mindset and be a part of the Energy Efficiency Master Plan.
GEM Pty are one of the leading outsourced sales and marketing firms in Sydney. Their success lies in the company's values, finds MD Alexandra Scowcroft. By implementing techniques to work environmentally friendly, the firm wants to set a great example to other businesses. "We look for energy sufficient providers, have implemented a 'come to work by bike' day, encourage everyone in the office to switch off their computers during lunch breaks and switch off the lights when leaving the room," explains Alexandra Scowcroft of GEM Pty. "These are easy things anyone can do. We just need to get in that mindset that we are the ones who must take action to ensure that we can live on this planet for many more generations," adds Alexandra Scowcroft.
GEM Pty, currently with offices in Sydney and Perth, are planning to expand into further locations by the end of Q2 2015.
