IREM OC's Southern California Real Estate Conference Celebrates 25 Years

    TUSTIN, CA, March 19, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Institute of Real Estate Management, Orange County Chapter (IREM OC) today announced that its 2015 Southern California Real Estate Conference and Tradeshow (SCREC 2015) will be held on May 28, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency Orange County. It also revealed that the keynote speaker for the conference will be the host of CNN's This is Life With Lisa Ling.

Prior to her current series on CNN, Ling hosted Our America with Lisa Ling on The Oprah Winfrey Network. She also served as a field correspondent for the Oprah Winfrey Show, and contributor to ABC News Nightline and National Geographic's Explorer. Ling got her start in journalism as a correspondent for Channel One News where she covered the civil war in Afghanistan at 21 years of age. She later went to become a co-host of ABC Daytime's hit show The View, which won its first daytime Emmy during her time at the show.

She is also an author of books including, "Somewhere Inside: One Sister's Captivity in North Korea and The Other's Fight to Bring Her Home," which she penned with her sister, Laura. Ling speaks to groups around the world using her profession as a journalist as an example of how organizations can focus on positive social change by keeping an open heart and an open mind.
