Southwest Valley and Arizona Hispanic Chambers to Partner on Small Business Community Initiatives

    PHOENIX, AZ, March 19, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce have signed a partnership agreement designed to boost local small business growth and ownership initiatives.

"The partnership is designed to build capacity and boost the visibility of both organizations, while achieving our mutual economic development goals," said AZHCC President and CEO Gonzalo A. de la Melena, Jr. "Joining forces makes sense for many reasons, including the fact that the Southwest Valley has seen a major boom in Latino population growth and small business startups over the past decade."

The organizations have signed a "memorandum of understanding" that includes cross-promotion of programs and services offered by the respective chambers as a means to help promote diversity in hiring and entrepreneurship. As part of the agreement, the Arizona Hispanic Chamber will provide a range of digital social media as well as in-person networking and business training opportunities to Southwest Valley Chamber members. In addition, Southwest Valley members will host a presentation of the AZHCC's 2015 DATOS: State of Arizona's Hispanic Market report, the single most comprehensive source of market research about Arizona Hispanics. For its part, the Southwest Valley Chamber will provide access to its facility for Hispanic Chamber events, promotional services on its social media platforms, and a range of business networking opportunities in the cities of Avondale, Goodyear, Litchfield Park, and Tolleson.

The Arizona Hispanic Chamber has signed similar partnership agreements with groups like the Hispanic Association of Real Estate Professionals (HAREP), the National Association of Hispanic MBAs (NSMBA) and Los Abogados, a Phoenix-based Latino lawyers association.

The Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce serves the businesses and community in partnership with the Cities of Avondale, Goodyear, Litchfield Park and Tolleson.
