Stanley Sporkin Honored for Outstanding Legal Services

    WASHINGTON, DC, March 25, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Stanley Sporkin, U.S. District Court Judge Retired is presently engaged in the practice of Law under the name of Stanley Sporkin Esq. He has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in the law.

Mr. Sporkin has 50 years of legal experience including eight years at Stanley Sporkin, Esq. Throughout his professional career, he has been recognized as an expert in securities law, litigation, mediation and arbitration. His duties include the providing of legal counsel, as well as assisting corporate boards, general counsels and private law firms in financial and regulatory matters. Prior to joining Stanley Sporkin, Esq., Mr. Sporkin was the director of the SEC's Division of Enforcement for seven years. He was also General Counsel of the CIA, a federal judge and a partner at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. He has been the Ombudsman for BP America, Inc. since 2006. Mr. Sporkin is also a certified public accountant (inactive).

Mr. Sporkin's father was a state court judge in Pennsylvania, so pursuing the legal field was a natural course of action. He received a JD from Yale University Law School in 1957 and a BA in accounting from Pennsylvania State University in 1953. He was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry and is also a member of the securities law section of the Federal Bar Association. In recognition of his excellence, he was honored among Washington, D.C. and Baltimore's Top Attorneys.
