Sheldon L. Braaten, Ph.D., Dedicates Expertise to the Treatment of Behavioral Disorders

    ROSEVILLE, MN, April 13, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Sheldon Braaten has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in special education.

An educator with more than three decades of experience in the field, Dr. Braaten began his career with the Minneapolis public school system. Over the years, he has earned great gratification from aiding children, and attributes his success today to his dedication to improving their lives. He has become an expert in the treatment of emotional and behavioral disorders, and now serves as the executive director of the Behavioral Institute for Children and Adolescents.

At the institute, Dr. Braaten designs and evaluates behavioral programs to best address the needs of students with challenging emotional and behavioral problems. He is aided in this work by formidable academic training; he is certified in instructing emotionally disturbed children, as well as in special education at both the supervisory and directorship levels. He provides training for professionals in education, mental health and juvenile justice settings across the U.S.A.

Dr. Braaten holds a Ph.D. in special education and educational administration from the University of Minnesota, a Master of Arts in special education, and a B.A. in psychology.
