BORDEAUX 2014 vintage has many winners!
HELSINKI, FINLAND, April 13, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Primeur Week in Bordeaux ended just a few days ago, just before Easter. Thetastingbook.com tasted during those intense days around 400 samples of the best wines from 2014 Vintage. For us, the wines were generally better than we expected and the vintage 2014 has nothing to shame. It will be a good buy in the future, especially if the prices is in a right level.
"The 2014 is not a great vintage like 2005, 2009 or 2010 but it will be able to secure a position as one of the very good vintages of Bordeaux," says Tastingbook's Pro, Markus Del Monego MW. "Especially, the Cabernets took advantage of the late ripening period, presenting convincing wines. However, there are also some excellent Merlots which reward the patience and meticulous work of the vintners. White wines are crisp and elegant and there are some fine examples of sweet wines to be found."
