CosScan, the World's First and Revolutionary Cosmetic Mobile App Scanner, is Launched

This pioneering app aims at transforming the cosmetic selection landscape providing a revolutionary way to assess the safety and suitability of a skincare product.

CosScan is the world's first optical character recognition, algorithm-based cosmetic mobile app scanner that is personalized on each user's data, skin and product history. It helps them find the right cosmetic product for their own skin. It can provide answers to questions like "Which product should I buy for my skin?" and "Are the cosmetic ingredients inside the product beneficial or harmful for my skin?"

Users with oily skin, for example, will be warned if the product contains many ingredients that can block their pores.

This amazing app scans for ingredients that can cause skin allergy, blocked pores and those that are linked to cancer.

It incorporates a cosmetic database of over 17,000 skincare ingredients and it is able to detect the presence of steroids, preservatives, antibiotics, antifungals, botanicals and other chemicals in the skincare product. The app provides a list of ingredients found and their associated side effects, risk analysis and, last but not least, recommendations about the skincare product. Advanced technology is used as the Optical Character Recognition can process 2 images for full coverage of curved bottle surfaces.

It is a very easy process as users simply download the app, provide some personal info, answer 3 simple skin questions, snap photo of the bottle's cosmetic ingredients and wait for a few seconds for the result! They can also keep their results in the personal skin app diary!
