Ms. Rodgers has 19 years of professional experience, with two years as the co-owner and director of Franklin Country Ltd. Throughout her career, she has set herself apart as an expert in business and communications leadership, relationship building, leisure, travel and tourism, travel management, start-ups, business development, strategic partnerships, marketing and promotions. Each day, she is responsible for providing locals and tourists with information on the region and New Zealand, developing and promoting the website, updating blogs, and building relationships for the Franklin area with the intention of promoting the district including its operators, activities, retail, accommodations, employment and services. Ms. Rodgers is also a CSA at Air New Zealand, responsible for customer service, flight boarding and check-ins, and arrivals.

Looking back, Ms. Rodgers attributes her success to her passion, vision, determination and travels. As a local and an experienced business and communications woman, she has built exceptional relationships with customers and business professionals over her years of running and managing businesses. Ms. Rodgers has worked within the tourism industry in various forms, for 19 years. Previously, she had worked as the manager for Franklin i-SITE Visitor Information Centers in account management, building relationships with stakeholders and dealing with domestic travel bookings and promotion of her local area and New Zealand. After they became part of a larger Super City and the centers closed, locals and visitors had nowhere to go to obtain local knowledge and information - hence Ms. Rodgers starting her business and website in an attempt to provide this link. The most gratifying aspect of her career is being a local with extensive knowledge. She has been helping locals introduce New Zealand and its regions to tourists, locals and future residents.

Ms. Rodgers received a certification in business management, level 4, from First Line Management, as well as a certificate in travel and tourism to complement her post-secondary education. She maintains affiliation with the Franklin Tourism Group, as well as various breakfast networks. Ms. Rodgers goal is to continue building the site and providing locals and tourist with knowledge and history of the region. She would like to expand the business and site further as one of the top information center's including housing and employment opportunities for locals in the attempt to grow the region.
