Whittier Narrows Golf Course Joins the American Golf Portfolio of Public Golf Courses

    LOS ANGELES, CA, April 27, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- American Golf is pleased to announce the addition of Whittier Narrows Golf Course to its nationwide portfolio of daily fee and private golf clubs. Located in Rosemead, California, Whittier Narrows includes a 27-hole golf course that hosts over 100,000 rounds annually, a lighted driving range, and restaurant and catering facilities.

"The property is beautiful, the course conditions are excellent, and we have three distinct 9-hole layouts with options for not only experienced players but for beginners as well," says Steve Donar, the new General Manager at Whittier Narrows. American Golf was awarded a long-term lease with Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation for the operation of Whittier Narrows, and the course will join the over 50 California properties under American Golf's management--20 of which are other public golf courses located in the Los Angeles area. In collaboration with the County, American Golf has many dramatic improvements planned to upgrade the clubhouse and install additional catering facilities. Whittier Narrows will also join a network of courses on GOLFZING.com, an online tee time provider, and the course will implement The Players Club, American Golf's proprietary golfer development program.

The Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation oversees the largest publicly owned golf course system in the Country, with 19 golf courses at 17 different facilities including Whittier Narrows.
