This scholarship offers $2,000 to be used toward higher education at the institution of the winner's choice.

The mothers returning to school scholarship offers $2,000 to be used at the university, college, or vocational school of the student's choice. Applicants can apply at CareerStep.com/scholarships by submitting an 800- to 1000-word written or video essay on how they plan to use their education to benefit their families and communities.

Career Step currently offers five scholarship programs: full Career Step tuition for a 2015 high school graduate from each of the 152 approved Utah high schools, three $2,000 scholarships for mothers returning to school, a $2,000 scholarship for a military service member or spouse, a $2,000 scholarship specifically for military spouses offered in conjunction with the Army Wife Network and a $2,000 scholarship to any institution for a graduating high school senior. These scholarships have various application deadlines, and the application period for this first award for mothers returning to school ends April 30.
