ZURICH, SWITZERLAND, May 05, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The first Best Buy Award market research conducted in the Republic of Malta, showed that in the telecommunication sector the Melita brand offers Maltese consumers the best price-quality ratio for fixed-line broadband and mobile broadband internet services.
Melita PLC has received its customers' confirmation that they are highly satisfied with the fixed-line and mobile broadband internet services this company offers. The superfast FibrePower broadband internet that Melita launched in 2011 has proved to be not only a high-quality service but also very affordable for the average customer in Malta.
Maltese citizens showed their satisfaction with these services in Best Buy Award market research conducted in February 2015 in the Republic of Malta by the Swiss organization ICERTIAS - International Certification Association GmbH. This organization measures consumers' experience and satisfaction regarding the price-quality ratio of marketed products and services.
For mobile broadband internet providers, for example, examinees were asked:
"Which mobile internet service provider (in general) in your personal experience offers the best price-quality ratio on the Maltese market?"
Most of the respondents answered this question with "Melita."
Additionally, when people were asked to specify the provider that offers the best price-quality broadband (fixed-line) internet in their market, Melita was also the customers' No. 1 choice.
The questions in the Best Buy Award research were open-ended, i.e. the examinees were not offered a choice of responses. They could freely state the names of producers and service providers which, according to their experience, offered the best price-quality ratio on the market.
It is important to emphasize that the Best Buy Award research does not measure brand equity or market share. The experience, opinion, satisfaction, and perception of the consumers are exclusively used to gauge the price-quality ratio of goods and services on the market, based on personal experience.

Methodology and Sampling
The Best Buy Award Research - Malta - 2015/2016 was conducted by the Swiss organization ICERTIAS - International Certification Association GmbH, using a sample of 1,200 Maltese citizens who were Internet users over the age of 15. The survey was conducted February 2015 using a web questionnaire from that followed the Computer Assisted Web Interviewing - Deep Mind Awareness (CAWI - DEEPMA) method.
