DALLAS, TX, May 10, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP is proud to announce that a Firm client, LongWater Opportunities, was recently named a finalist for "Deal of the Year" by D CEO magazine for its 2014 sale of portfolio company, Circuitronics.
LongWater Opportunities, a private equity firm founded by Jordan Bastable and Brooks Burgum in 2009, is based in Dallas and Fargo, North Dakota. The firm acquired Irving, Texas-based Circuitronics in the midst of the recession in 2009. In unconventional fashion, LongWater Opportunities invested capital into the 35-year-old circuit board manufacturing company to modernize outdated equipment, accounting software and inventory.
In December 2014, a Gardere team led by Partner Chris Converse represented LongWater Opportunities in the sale of Circuitronics to Los Angeles-based Corridor Capital. "LongWater Opportunities is a key private equity relationship for Gardere," Mr. Converse says. "Our Private Equity Team is very honored to have represented LongWater Opportunities in its sale of Circuitronics, and we look forward to assisting the firm's dynamic team with future fund formation and acquisition matters."
The deal is profiled in the May-June issue of D CEO magazine and can be found at http://www.dmagazine.com/publications/d-ceo/2015/may-june/biggest-dallas-mergers-acquisitions-deals.
