Giacomo Recchia Honored for Excellence as a Consultant

    MADELEY, WESTERN AUSTRALIA, May 12, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Giacomo Recchia, SAP Plant Maintenance Consultant, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in consulting services.

Mr. Recchia has 20 years of professional experience, with six years as a SAP Plant Maintenance Consultant, specializing in plant maintenance, business processes and SAP implementation. Mr. Recchia also had an added responsibility of managing the Central Maintenance Planning office, where he obtained experience in information systems. This gave him the opportunity to get involved in the company's SAP implementation project, where he headed up the plant maintenance team. An opportunity arose to follow a career as a SAP consultant with Ernst & Young in Australia and later with Deloitte Consulting. He was involved in various SAP implementation projects. He then went back into the business and joined the mining environment in various system support roles and managerial roles in the area of SAP plant maintenance and asset management.

At his current employer, Mr. Recchia was promoted to business systems manager, responsible for managing the activities of the business systems team and continuous improvements of the SAP system. During this period, he took the opportunity to be part of the Global oneERP Project, which was the implementation of the Global SAP System. He was part of the plant maintenance team, providing advice on the implemented solution and assisted in the roll-out to the various regions. Upon completion of the project, he took on the role as global solution lead in the plant maintenance area together with the role as business systems manager for the Australia region.

In his career as manager and team leader, Mr. Recchia has developed a team approach to management and is a strong believer in teamwork. He is a firm believer in having accountability and responsibility within the team members' role. He attributes his success to being a team player. He became involved in his profession through a natural progression of events.

Mr. Recchia received a higher diploma for technicians in mechanical engineering from Eastern Cape Technikon in 1983 and a Certificate of Competence for Mechanical Engineers through the government of South Africa in 1987. In years to come, Mr. Recchia intends to experience continued growth.
