The campaign attracted more than 450 backers from around the globe pledging a total of $152,604. With the Kickstarter campaign complete, abode has commenced the manufacturing of an industry-first solution that gives consumers a powerful on-demand security solution. Built from the ground up, abode's security and automation solution puts the consumer in charge of their own security needs and allows them to easily build out and customize the system that best meets their requirements.

The company is beginning a formal pilot program supported by the Kickstarter beta tester backers who will receive their units in mid-summer. The pilot program participants will provide feedback on not just the installation and functionality of the abode system, but also on the mobile app and web portal user experience. The Kickstarter backers will receive their abode systems in late summer followed by to everyone in September.
