RYE, NH, May 14, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Barbara Bates Sedoric, President and Founder of LastingMatters, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in Estate and Legacy Planning through the National Association of Distinguished Professionals.
After three years of extensive research, interviews, and design, LastingMatters officially launched in May 2014. Barbara Bates Sedoric authored 'The LastingMatters Organizer', a comprehensive guide that helps adults compile, organize, and document important personal information, intentions, and wishes. 'The LastingMatters Organizer' was simultaneously launched with her coordinating website, at www.lastingmatters.com.
"My mother's sudden death, combined with my career in estates and trusts inspired me to develop a comprehensive guide that could help any adult, at any age, reduce the costs, time, stress, and family tensions associated with the death of a loved one," Barbara Sedoric said about the formation of her business and book.
As President, Founder, CEO, and COO of LastingMatters, Barbara Sedoric is solely responsible for and in charge of all daily business operations and transactions. Her acute attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and communication skills working with families after the death of a loved one have greatly benefited her organization, making it the success that it is today.
Raised to be prepared for all of life's 'what if's', Barbara Sedoric comes from three generations of financial advisors. Planning ahead for topics often not discussed at the dinner table is something she excels at and the primary reason she decided to form her own business. By helping initiate conversations about death and dying, her goal is to provide practical guidance and helpful insight into planning ahead for the inevitable.
"Death is our greatest transition and the resources available to help us prepare have been woefully inadequate until now," Barbara Sedoric added.
'The LastingMatters Organizer' was highlighted on New Hampshire Public Radio as one of the 'must-read' summer books of 2014. As an "Architect of Change", Barbara Sedoric's story was featured on Maria Shriver's website and her story is spotlighted on the landing page of The Conversation Project. She was also interviewed for her work with FOX CT News.
Barbara Sedoric is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Connecticut College. She and her husband and family reside in Rye, New Hampshire.
Notably, Barbara Sedoric will be featured in the upcoming edition of the NADP Women of Distinction Magazine in 2015.
