Amtrak Derailment Kills Six, Injures Hundreds

    PHILADELPHIA, PA, May 14, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Silvers, Langsam & Weitzman, P.C., also known as My Philly Lawyer, today offered its deepest condolences to the families of those passengers killed in the AMTRAK train derailment accident that occurred in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia on Tuesday May 12, 2015.

Shortly after leaving Philadelphia's 30th Street Station, the New York City bound train derailed when it entered a curve in the area known as Frankford Junction. The train was carrying over 230 passengers and crew. There are six known fatalities and over one hundred and fifty passengers were taken to local hospitals with injuries, some in critical condition, and not all passengers have been accounted for. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
