National Alliance for Dog Breeding Reform Invites Those Committed to Better Dog Breeding to Like and Share New Facebook Page

Focused, Business-Oriented Group Looking for News of Effective Reforms and Breeder Best Practices

"Our new page will be crucial to growing our following and accomplishing our mission to make dog breeding better." --Felissa Elfenbein, NADBR Social Media Director

FORT WORTH, TX, May 14, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- National Alliance for Dog Breeding Reform (NADBR) has a new Facebook page and invites those committed to its mission to like, follow and share its new page.

"Our all-volunteer group started because of a conversation on Facebook among businesspeople who love dogs, so our new page will be an important place to get news and updates relevant to our mission," said Felicia Elfenbein, NADBR's Social Media Director.

Elfenbein says NADBR is composed of business people, entrepreneurs, professionals, and other successful people who recognize that commercial dog breeding exists because it meets a need and that many for-profit dog breeders are following best practices.

"We know what the worst of the worst in dog breeding looks like," says Elfenbein. "We've all seen heartbreaking photos that create anger and despair but don't move the needle toward a rational solution that would make dog breeding better for the dogs," said Elfenbein.

Instead, she says, NADBR's Facebook page will be a place to share news about the best of the best. Followers can expect to get news about effective canine breeding reform proposals and to learn about volunteer opportunities and progress toward achieving the group's mission.

"The health of a puppy is directly affected by the health of the breeding dogs that produced it," notes Elfenbein, who hopes NADBR's work will particularly help improve the largest dog breeding operations.

"We're inviting likes and shares from people who want to make for-profit dog breeding better for the dogs, breeders who are doing it right, animal husbandry experts, veterinarians and animal lovers who see the need for sensible reforms," said Hue Grant, NADBR President.
