W. Douglas Easton Recognized for Outstanding Legal Representation

    COSTA MESA, CA, May 15, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- W. Douglas Easton, Managing Partner with Easton & Easton, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in legal services.

Mr. Easton has more than 44 years of legal experience and is the managing partner of Easton & Easton. Through his decades of practicing law, Mr. Easton has gained expertise in the area of personal injury. On a day-to-day basis, he represents clients in medical malpractice and personal injury cases, in addition to serving as the managing partner.

Although Mr. Easton began his firm as a private practice called the Law Offices of W. Douglas Easton, he now works alongside three of his sons, who serve as attorneys with Easton & Easton. Two of his daughters also serve the firm, one as a paralegal, and the other as an executive secretary. Mr. Easton's wife, Rae, works as the office manager and accountant. He attributes his success to a strong family involvement and working environment. Mr. Easton and his family have found that working in such close proximity with each other has been extremely beneficial for clients. Most of the firm's clients are direct referrals from previous clients from all walks of life, as well as other attorneys. The most notable referrals, however, come from defense attorneys who have witnessed firsthand the effective representation provided by the family firm of Easton & Easton.

The avid interest that Mr. Easton has in law developed when he acted as a defender for a class mock trial at the age of 10. His teacher noticed Mr. Easton's skill and enthusiasm, and encouraged him to consider a future career as an attorney.

Mr. Easton received a JD from UC Berkeley School of Law, one of the nation's top five law schools, in 1970. He also graduated Cum Laude from Brigham Young University, with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and English in 1967. Mr. Easton's first position after being admitted to practice was with a large insurance defense firm. While in this position, he realized that he enjoyed representing individuals, rather than large insurance companies. Mr. Easton later moved to a business litigation firm, where he eventually devoted his entire practice to plaintiffs' personal injury cases. When the firm dissolved, he chose to start his own. He was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry and also maintains affiliation with the J. Ruben Clark Law Society, the Orange County Bar Association, the American Bar Association and The State Bar of California. Additionally, he is a member of the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, the Trial Lawyers for Public Justice and Consumer Attorneys of California. Mr. Easton has served as a temporary judge, arbitrator and settlement judge for the Orange County Superior Court. He has also served as a lecturer on trial advocacy skills for California Continuing Education of the Bar. Mr. Easton has been selected as one of the Best Lawyers in America and as one of Southern California's Best Lawyers each year since 2007. In 2009, he was named Professional of the Year in Medical Malpractice. He has also been honored on the Southern California Super Lawyers List from 2009 to the present. His other honors include being recognized by Strathmore's Who's Who and listed on the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Registry of Preeminent Lawyers for the last 30 years. Mr. Easton has also been appointed to the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers and to the National Association of Distinguished Counsel Top One Percent.

Apart from his professional contributions, Mr. Easton is active in his local church and currently teaches an adult Sunday school class on the New Testament. Looking ahead, Mr. Easton would like to have continued growth and success for the firm, while providing a strong foundation and legacy for his sons and the family firm. Although he briefly considered retirement, Mr. Easton has found that he is truly happy in his current position, not only because he is able to serve a righteous cause, but also because he works directly with his family.
