Ms. Skontos has 13 years of experience, with six years as a self-employed consultant. She believes that it is important to truly understand the business end-to-end before providing any solution to a business problem. Thus performing the analysis utilizing the business upfront in any issue assessments not in isolation. Many try to fast track this initial phase to minimize costs or disruption to operations only to be disappointed that they have not addressed what the business issue was. Her greatest career achievement was working with Westpac. In her role with the company, she was responsible for assisting with the team's offshore transition to India while the organization was undergoing rapid change. As she collaborated with project managers and business analysts, she was empowered to build an effective team, which eventually created essential artifacts for outsourcing.
Looking back, Ms. Skontos attributes her success to her strong values, education, and ability to make a difference in clients' lives. She became involved in her profession after working as a transition manager at IBM. The most gratifying aspect of her career has been working with the Westpac outsourcing program. She assisted with the team's offshore transition to India, which created multiple and diverse working opportunities for others, while implementing process efficiencies for other complex matrix organizations.

In addition to her degree, she has received a Project Management Certification, and she is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Exercise & Sports Trainers Association.
