MISSOURI CITY, TX, May 20, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Elisabeth Johnson, Owner and Event Planner of Elisabeth's Exquisite Events, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through the National Association of Distinguished Professionals. Elisabeth Johnson will be featured in the upcoming edition of the NADP Women of Distinction Magazine in 2015.
Dedicated to giving clients the total experience, whether it be planning that big wedding day, a baby shower for the mom-to-be, or a child's blessed birthday, Elisabeth Johnson always works her magic to see that every need is met and that every moment is nothing less that perfect. In addition to planning and hosting events, Ms. Johnson has also been known to create a few diaper cakes and various other decor depending on the party.
"I've always been the person within my group of friends to plan most of our events or outings and after several people kept pushing me to make a career out of it, I started taking it a bit more seriously," Ms. Johnson said about the formation of her business in 2009 after earning her degree. "It's always been in my blood."
Graduating with a degree in political science, Ms. Johnson initially had other plans for her future. But despite her education, she decided to follow her heart instead, making for one amazing event planner who brings passion and a zest for the business to the party table. She has since taken several certification courses related to weddings and events and is currently in the process of completing an online certification course specifically for event planning through the New York Institute of Art and Design.
Working on her first book, entitled 'WAKE UP! A Despairing Cry to the Black Community', Ms. Johnson has been writing it since 2011 and plans to self-publish and release it to the public in September 2015. Also involved with a new organization in Houston called Houston Justice Coalition, she still sticks to her political roots in hopes of proving to the justice system that there are enough minorities interested in serving on a grand jury to create a more diverse pool of applicants.
Notably, Ms. Johnson will be featured in the upcoming 2015 edition of NADP's 'Women of Distinction' magazine.
